Hair Replacement FAQ

If there are treatments like Rogaine® and Propecia®, why should I consider a form of non-surgical hair replacement?

Firstly, because Rogaine® and Propecia® do not regrow hairlines. So if you have a receding hairline, these products just can’t help you. But even if your hair loss problem is on the crown (top of your head), there’s one more thing to remember. The somewhat limited results Rogaine® and Propecia® claim are based on men with “light to moderate” hair loss. If you’re in your twenties or early thirties and are going bald, you don’t have light, or moderate, hair loss. So again, Rogaine® and Propecia® won’t help you.

Why should I consider this variation on non-surgical hair replacement if hair transplants are so much improved?

Hair transplants are improved. But there’s one thing about transplants that hasn’t been improved, can’t be changed, and never will; the amount of donor hair available. Generally, only 5,000 grafts, at most, of one or two hairs can be harvested from the donor area in the back of your head. A man who is going “horseshoe bald” has lost about 60,000 thousand hairs. When you do the math, you’ll see you’re only going to get around 10% coverage. So you’ll still like you’re going bald, even thousands of dollars and multiple surgeries later.

If your process is so good and revolutionary, why haven’t I heard more about it?

The current focus regarding hair restoration has been on drugs like Rogaine® and Propecia®. Even transplants are getting less attention than they did just three years ago. You have to understand that the idea of taking a pill and regrowing your hair is tremendously appealing and big news. This hope has existed since the turn of the century. Unfortunately, it’s still only a hope, just as it was since the early 1900′s.

I think I’ll feel funny about having something like this done.

I’m very sensitive to my clients’ concerns regarding a hair loss solution. But I’ve also seen first hand that once the procedure is performed, all anxiety disappears. The vast majority of men are pleased, thrilled, and even amazed, that they have a full head of hair again.

Why aren’t more men utilizing your procedure?

They are. You’re just not aware of it. You can’t tell the difference between the non-growing hair that results from my procedure and growing hair. So how would you know if men are having our process performed, unless they tell you. Most won’t. Would you?

What about cost?

It’s relatively inexpensive, especially compared to the high cost of surgery and expensive pills and lotions. Naturally, price varies from individual to individual depending on his state of hair loss. A price can be determined as soon as I see you in person.

Is everyone eligible for this procedure?

No, not everyone. There are some patterns of hair loss that don’t lend themselves to this process; and some men’s existing hair is not in the proper condition to implement the process.

How do I know if I’m eligible?

To find out your degree of eligibility, give you accurate pricing information, and show you men who have had the procedure performed, it helps if you can call to chat or come in for a quick and easy no-obligation consultation. Just give me a call and I’ll arrange the consultation around a mutually agreeable time when we can chat for a few minutes. But please do call because as busy as you might be, you should certainly make time for an hour spent on focusing on nothing but you, your appearance and the possibilities a full head of hair will make achievable.
